Cycling holidays in Poland

GET TO KNOW POLAND FROM THE BIKE SADDLE!

The enormous potential of Germany's eastern neighbour has long been no secret on the other side of the Oder River, but it is still underestimated far too often. Poland is the sixth largest country in the EU, both in terms of area and population, and offers a number of attractions that cannot be found in any other country.

Poland's breathtaking landscape invites you to cycle

From the white beaches of the Baltic Sea to old, restored towns with historical significance and a well-developed infrastructure to dense, seemingly untouched primeval forests: In Poland, a breathtaking landscape stretches out just waiting to be discovered and visited. In the Masuria alone, more than 13,000 hectares of ground have been declared national parks in the last fifteen years, home to rare species such as moose, beavers and cormorants.

Cycle tours through the Masuria

Cycling through the Masuria

Discover the land of 3000 lakes, as the Masuria is also called, with Eurobike. The extensive lake district is one of the last unspoilt natural areas in Europe and is considered one of the most beautiful landscapes in Poland. On old paths you will cross this paradise with its slightly hilly, incomparably idyllic surroundings, where primeval forests alternate with gentle groves and countless lakes. A large part of the region has been under nature protection for decades, so that an ecosystem that once shaped large parts of Central Europe could be preserved here.

Masuria

From the capital Warsaw to Sensburg, this beautiful cycle tour leads directly through the heart of Masuria. In the home of the numerous white storks, you can enjoy the peaceful tranquillity of the vast primeval forests and national parks to the full. Explore the untouched nature and green lungs of Europe on your bike.

Useful information about your cycling holiday in Poland

Masuria

The climate in Poland

The climate in central Poland is continental in influence - winter is cold and snowy, especially at higher altitudes and in the east, while warm, sunny and largely dry weather prevails in the summer months. In the mountains, sometimes strong thunderstorms develop, but the Baltic Sea coast is known for its numerous warm sunny days. A visit is particularly recommended in the months of September and October - the so-called "Golden Polish Autumn", when the extensive deciduous forests slowly shed their leaves and the entire landscape shines in a wide variety of colours. However, the breathtaking landscape is impressive all year round and is one of the most species rich places in the whole of Europe. No other country in the EU has so many endangered animal species - many of which have survived here in the vast primeval forests, including bison, lynx, wolves and brown bears.

The polish national dish Pierogi

Polish cuisine

Polish cuisine is very hearty, similar to that found in Germany. In addition, due to the influence of other countries and cultures, such as France, Hungary, Turkey, Armenia and the Jewish population, the dishes are very varied, hearty and, above all, very tasty. The national dish of the Poles is pierogis. Filled dumplings with meat, mushrooms, potatoes and cheese. But they are also served in vegetarian form or even sweet with blueberry or vanilla filling. On your cycle tour through Poland, you should definitely try this absolute classic! Poles like to drink beer or their beloved vodka with them. Since Poland is the country of origin of vodka, you can't miss it.
