Pilgrimages across Europe

ACTIVE MOVEMENT AND SOOTHING TRANQUILLITY ON PILGRIMAGE WALKS

Let your mind run free while walking steadily. Feel yourself again. And only take in as much of the surroundings as you can walk with your feet. This is how the basic feeling of pilgrimage can be described. What used to be characterised exclusively by religion and faith has now become a way of finding peace and taking time out from everyday life. Let your thoughts run free with every step and use your individual walking holiday as a source of inspiration. Our Eurohike travel specialists have selected routes for modern pilgrimage walking that are located on the particularly attractive sections of the Way of St. James. But there are also numerous pilgrimage routes to discover off the Way of St. James across Europe. Experience wonderful moments of tranquillity on our pilgrimage hiking tours throughout Europe.

Mindfulness and slowing down on a pilgrimage

Jacob´s Clam sign as leader

Centuries ago, pilgrimage was the only way to discover the world. Today, the slowness of this way of travelling is what makes pilgrimage so appealing – even away from the Catholic faith. Chapels, monasteries and other ecclesiastical sites are always significant spiritual places. So it is hardly surprising that more and more people are longing for a pilgrimage. Discover selected pilgrimage routes across Europe on our Eurohike hiking tours with luggage transfer. The Eurohike WanderPlus guarantees that you can fully concentrate on your relaxation and active time out, while everything else is taken care of. This includes personal on-site support, luggage transfer, detailed travel documents, as well as cosy hotels and accommodation during your pilgrimage hiking tour.

The most beautiful pilgrim hiking tours

The Way of St. James does not follow a single, strictly prescribed route. Rather, it forms a network of pilgrimage routes throughout Europe. You can also find branches of the Way of St. James for pilgrimage in Austria and for a pilgrimage hiking tour in Germany, which Eurohike has explored for you.
