The climate in Austria
The climate in Austria is ideal for hiking. Here and there of course you will find a rain shower, but there is generally a very pleasant climate in the Alpine republic. The name Waltz comes from the expression ‘auf die Waltz gehen’ literally to go on the Waltz - so to be on the move. With 60 bars per minute, the Viennese Waltz is the fastest dance in the World dance programme. The popular dance developed in the 18th century and finally became a worldwide success in the 19th century with music pieces such as On the Beautiful Blue Danube by Johann Strauss Sohn. This proud dance is an indispensable part of Austrian culture, after all, it is a piece of contemporary history.
