Hiking in Northern Europe

Discover the northern regions by foot

Can you hike in summer, despite the warm temperatures? It’s definitely easier in the more northerly climes. When summer arrives in the southern latitudes, this is exactly the right time to take a hiking holiday in the north. At this time of year there are wonderfully pleasant temperatures in the northern areas, which are exactly the right basis for a successful break in nature. Whether in Rügen in Northern Germany, Ireland, Great Britain, Sweden or Norway – when hiking in these countries you can enjoy a wonderfully cool breeze even in summer. So let’s head up to Northern Europe, to hike, explore and enjoy – on a hiking holiday with luggage transfer.

Wonderful Walks Rugia

Lighthouse at Kap Arkona

On our walking holiday Wonderful Walks Rugia, 8 days, the wonderful natural landscapes, lime coasts and national parks in Northern Germany beckon. How can you best experience this in summer? On foot, of course! In eight days you hike the most beautiful routes on the largest, and at the same time sunniest, island in Germany. Rügen is an ideal travel destination, especially in the summer months, and a wonderfully pleasant sea breeze also ensures ideal conditions for hiking. You start your hiking holiday in Stralsund, explore the island of Hiddensee and spend the night on the Wittow Peninsular. After a circular hike on the 43-metre-high cliffs of Cape Arkona, you continue to Sassnitz and finally to Binz/Sellin. During your circular hike through the Baltic resort of Göhren, wonderful views of the coast and the sea are your loyal companions. On the last day, the route takes you back to Stralsund. This hiking holiday is a must for all Baltic Sea fans!

  • Would you like to experience this hiking holiday together with your four-legged friend? Due to the good route, this trip can also be booked as a hiking holiday with a dog.
The steep coasts of Ireland as a hiking companion

Ireland's Western Way

From movement to rest – this is how you can imagine your active holiday on the most beautiful hiking trail in Ireland. On our hiking holiday Ireland's Western Way, 8 days, you will experience this beautiful and particularly varied country on foot. Starting from Doolin, a spectacular highlight awaits on the first stage: the circular hike along the most famous steep cliffs in Ireland – the Cliffs of Moher. On to the Aaran Islands and the ruins of Dún Aenghus, as well as Maams’s Cross. The very next day you will explore the Maumturk mountains on the Great Western Way in Connemara – one of the most beautiful places in all of Ireland. We continue through forests to the quiet coastal village of Leenane at the end of the Killary Harbour. On the last stage you hike on the Famine Trail, a former transport route for groceries, and thus ending a successful hiking holiday in Ireland, which offers an ideal change, especially in summer.

Unbeatable views and the rugged nature of Scotland await you on our mountain hiking holiday on the West Highland Way, 10 days in Great Britain. Especially in summer, this active holiday on the oldest long-distance trail in Scotland, and at the same time one of the most popular in Europe, offers a wonderful change.
