Via Alpina „Bear Trek“ with Charm

Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

A trekking tour along one of the classics among long-distance hiking trails - the Via Alpina - promises grandiose views. The entire route would comprise 20 daily stages over 14 Alpine passes. Our tour dedicates six day stages to the area around the "Three Proud Swiss" - Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

Details of the trekking tour

Even the start of the 1st stage is quite something! The hike starts in Rosenlaui, where the glacier gorge of the same name has thrilled nature lovers for decades. Past the Wetterhorn, the first destination is Grindelwald. With a view of the imposing north face of the Eiger, the route continues to Wengen and the Lauterbrunnen Valley. On the paths with lush green alpine pastures and traditional stables you feel the treasures of nature with all your senses.

After you have conquered the Sefinenfurgge on day 4, the stage to the Blüemlisalp awaits you on day 5. You first hike through a fantastic glacier world, the descent to Lake Oeschinen then follows. On the way from Kandersteg to the Bunderchrinde, whose ascent can be quite adventurous, you may encounter an ibex. The last stage from the well-known winter sports resort of Adelboden to Simmental rewards you with views of the Wildstrubel massif.

Highlights of the Via Alpina „Bear Trek“ with Charm

  • Fabulous views: The high-altitude paths and vantage points are guaranteed to make up for any exertion on this tour - the Alps are so spectacular here that you will be left breathless many times!
  • The waterfalls in the Lauterbrunnen Valley: Thundering water rushes down into the depths, creating a fine spray that envelops the scenery in a mystical veil. There is something magical about waterfalls, especially here, as there are 72 of them in the valley.
  • The Bernese triumvirate: Admiring the panorama of the Swiss capital is enough to make you go into raptures. The three most prominent points also have the most resonant names: the Eiger at 3,970 m, the Mönch at 4,107 m and the Jungfrau at 4,158 m.
  • UNESCO World Heritage Site Lake Oeschinen: Turquoise-blue water in front of steep mountain walls: the lake, fed by streams from the surrounding glaciers, is a true paradise. In summer, you can explore it by rowing boat or relax on its shores.

Unforgettable and unmatched experience!
Our eurohike walking holiday experience (The Via Alpina 1) is one of the best things I´ve ever experienced! It was an unforgettable experience and I´m sure to hold those memories as a treasure forever. The eurohike service provided to us was a very professional and 5-star service. I would highly recommend it to anybody! Everything was amazing- the routes chosen , the hotels, etc. We couldn't have asked for something better! From the customer service support online to the personel in the hotels, everybody was kind and friendly and would always give you personalized attention wanting to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The views we got during our hikes in the Monch and Jungfrau area where probably the most spectacular and breathtaking views I´ve seen. I´ve done hiking in different parts of the world and they´re all amazing but the hikes eurohike offers are something more. They are definitely unique and most definitely worth it. It was so awesome to reach your hotel after 6 or more hours on the trail and be so heartily welcomed. The hotels in our charm version were the best! I definitely highly recommend this tour with eurohike! It´s one of the best choices I have made in my life!
