From the north shores of Lake Garda you walk along ancient pilgrim routes through the rock deserts of the Sarca-valley down into the Etsch-valley to Trento. From there you proceed into the wonderfully quiet valley of Valsugana, which was already utilised by the Romans along the Via Claudia Augusta in order to reach the Adriatic Sea. Here you come across imperial spa towns and historic forts, busy village centres invite you to an adventurous exploration. You experience the Lake Garda mountains, the Vizentiner Alps, the high summits of the Cima Dodoci, you walk through an open-air art exhibition and get to know the rivers Brenta, Sile, Sarca and Etsch. Very few sections are rocky and narrow. Should you ever run out of steam, there is almost always the possibility to choose a shorter and easier option.
Discover the beautiful historic centre of Riva and enjoy a cappucino on the Piazza at the shore. The Southern flair on mild summer evenings gets you in the right mood for the days to come.
In Ceniga you start your hiking tour an proceed through the vines of the Sarca-valley. Soon you come to a giant rockfall area, which resembles a rock desert. With a view onto Lago di Cavedine you walk past fruit and vegetable fields into the little village of Pietramurata, surrounded by the highest walls of rock of the Lake Garda mountains in the Sarca-river valley.
By bus along the renowned Castello di Toblino into the ‚Valley of Lakes‘. Hiking tour to Lago Terlago, the trailhead for the high-altitude path of Saint Vigil. Remote forests and karst-plateaus take you uphill to the ancient fortress and bulwarks. Fabulous views down into the Etsch-valley and onto the Dolomites followed by a descent to Trento, where you enjoy a visit to the historic centre with numerous churches and Palazzi.
Short train journey and walk to the romantic centre of Pergine. Then via the historic Roman road Via Claudia Augusta, leading you above the giant Lago di Caldonazzo, onwards to Lake Levicosee. The idyllic lakeside path invites you to a refreshing dip into the warmest Italian Alpine lake before you reach the neat spa town of Levico.
Today a wonderful high-altitude hiking tour is planned for you across alpine pastures framed by high scarps. Accompanied by waterfalls and roaring mountain streams you reach the impressive open-air nature art exhibition. Via the Sentiero Don Cesare to the mountain hut Cipriani, where you take a break below the steep mountain prongs. A spectacular steep path takes you to Borgo Valsugana with its initial Venetian bridges and pergolas.
Ascent to the Alta Via del Tabacco, a fabulous high-altitude path situated above the Brenta-valley. Via the San Bovo hermitage you get back to the valley floor and continue now leisurely along the green river Brenta. You cross the famous bridge Ponte Vecchio and reach your Day Finish Bassano del Grappa.
You walk across wooden bridges and footbridges into the nature park of the river Sile, the renowned cycling route Munich-Venice finally leads you into your end destination Quarto d´ Altino. By train to your Day Finish on the mainland before Venice with excellent bus connections to the lagoon city. As a finale of the holiday a small Grappa-sampling awaits not far from St. Mark’s Square!
You walk along diverse hiking paths and trails, partly on gravel roads and forest paths. Only a few sections are rocky and narrow, otherwise the paths run on easy terrain and are nice to walk on. Nearly everywhere you have a choice of a shorter and easier option. The routes lead you on nice paths along rivers, lakes and through forests, often you walk high above a valley and enjoy unique long-distance views.

Wir 5 Damen hatten wunderschöne, sonnig heiße Tage in Italien. Die Strecken waren landschaftlich traumhaft. Ein kleiner Wertmutstropfen war die letzte Strecke an der Sile entlang. Diese war nach unserem Geschmack zu lange und zu eintönig, und es würde sich anbieten, am Startort Bassano evtl. eine kleine Rundtour für den Morgen anzubieten und danach nach Venedig zu fahren. Die Verbindungen mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln sind allesamt super und problemlos zu bewältigen. Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Urlaub!!

Schöne und gelungene Tour durch Italien
Wir sind hin und weg von dieser einzigartigen Wanderreise. Ein Highlight jagt das Nächste. Bereits bei der Ankunft strahlte die Sonne für uns und wir wurden freundlich vom Hotelpersonal begrüßt. Das Wetter meinte es auch die restlichen Tage gut mit uns und so durften wir immer bei strahlendem Sonnenschein durch Italien wandern. Herrlich! Die ausgewählten Wanderungen und Hotels gefielen uns sehr gut. Doch Venedig begeisterte uns am Meisten. Da wir zuvor noch nie in Venedig, waren freuten wir uns schon besonders auf diese Stadt. Und unsere Vofreude wurde belohnt. Nach der letzten Wanderung fuhren wir mit dem Bus nach Venedig und genossen dort unseren letzten Tag. Danke, für die ausgezeichnete Organisation und dem reibungslosen Gepäcktransport. Eine sehr empfehlenwerte Wanderreise!

Ein unvergesslich schöner Urlaub
Perfekt organisiert, ideale Routen mit ausgezeichneter Beschreibung. Die Tagesziele waren gut zu erreichen. Ein Highlight war ein erfrischendes Bad im Sella Tal kurz vor Borgo Valsugana und die Ankunft in Bassano del Grappa nach der letzten anstrengenden Etappe über die Alta Via del Tabaccho. Vielen Dank für die perfekte Organisation.

Sehr gut organisiert!
Es war wieder eine perfekt organisierte Wanderreise, das gibt immer Freude. Nach einer mehr oder weniger anstrengenden Wanderung ist es immer eine angenehme Überraschung in eine schöne, interessante Stadt anzukommen, wo es nach einer Dusche in einem gut ausgewählten Hotel, ein Fest ist bei wohltuenden Temperaturen herrlich auf einer Terrasse zu essen und trinken und die Stadt weiter zu erkunden. Nord-Italien ist so viel mehr als nur der Gardasee!
