The Moselle Cycle Path is one of the most popular river cycle routes in Europe and runs for approx. 300 km from the border triangle of France-Luxembourg-Germany in the town of Metz to Koblenz where it flows into the Rhine.
The diversity of the natural landscape is unparalleled. No other area offers such a contrast between breathtaking steep slopes and idyllic river valleys. Be excited to see impressive vineyards and medieval villages with half-timbered houses situated directly on the river.
If you're on the Moselle Cycle Route, you don't have to worry about the high vineyards. The elevation profile is almost flat and without any notable inclines. Thus, the trail is also ideal for beginner-level cyclists. The route runs along the Moselle on mainly asphalted and car-free stretches. Many ferries and bridges give you the opportunity to change banks at will. The good and continuous signposting contributes to your orientation, the green and white Moselle logo is a useful recognition sign.
