Arrival in Stockholm
In the evening, there will be a personal tour briefing and bike handover (if booked). The capital of Sweden has many sights to tempt you on your first walk.
After breakfast, you start your tour through the national park and continue along the coast to Djursholm. This suburb of Stockholm is popular with city dwellers, which is reflected in the countless beautiful houses. A ferry takes you to the Bogesund nature reserve in just under 30 minutes. Visit Bogesund Castle or the stately 16th century fortress, which can be reached by a short ferry ride.
The ferry take you to the island of Rindö in the morning and after a short exploratory tour you continue on to Värmdö.
Today also starts with a ferry crossing (approx. 2 hours). The ferry takes you to the popular island of Sandhamn, a true summer paradise with bright summer villas, small alleyways and nice shopping opportunities. Explore the small island or enjoy a day of swimming. Take the same ferry back to Stavnäs.
This morning your tour starts in the direction of Gustavsberg and continues over the Skurusund Bridge to Saltsjöbaden, your overnight stop today, where the people of Stockholm also like to relax.
Your last stage takes you through a nature reserve and beautiful countryside to Erstavik. You will later pass the world heritage site Skogskyrkogården (forest cemetery), which according to UNESCO is an important example of the fusion of architecture and cultural landscape. Soon after, you are back in the city and reach your hotel in the center of Stockholm via Södermalm and Langholmen.

The route
On cycle paths and gravel roads as well as forest tracks and side roads through typical Swedish countryside. Higher traffic volumes and easier road conditions are to be expected in places. The route is flat to slightly hilly.

Arrival / Parking / Departure:
Arrival by plane: Arlanda Airport. Take the Arlanda Express (express train) or Flygbuss (airport bus) to the center of Stockholm (travel time approx. 30-45 minutes). Onward journey by Tunnelbana (subway). Plan your journey at www.sl.se.
By train: Stockholm Central Station. By EC from Hamburg via Copenhagen to Stockholm or by Snälltåget from Berlin via Malmö to Stockholm. Further information at www.bahn.de, www.snalltaget.se and www.oresundstag.se.
Arrival by car: Hotel garage from approx. SEK 295 (approx. EUR 30) per day, reservation not possible, payable on site.
